Frequently asked questions
Is PNG better than JPG for pages with small text?
Yes. PNG is lossless, so small text, tables and diagrams stay crisp without the fuzzy edges JPG can add. The trade-off is larger files.
Will the PNG images have a transparent background?
No. Pages are drawn on a white background, the way they look on paper, so the images display correctly in any app.
Why are my PNG files so large?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so a full page at 300 DPI can be several MB. Pick a lower DPI, or switch to JPG if you need smaller files.
What resolution should I use for PNG images of my notes or slides?
150 DPI is enough for screens and presentations, and 300 DPI is better if you will zoom in or print. Phones go up to 300 DPI and computers up to 600 DPI.
Can I save just one page as a PNG?
Yes. Choose 'Choose pages', type that page number and download the single image.
How are the PNG files named?
Each file is named after your PDF plus the page number, such as notes-page-03.png, so they stay in order in your gallery or folder. Several pages come together in one ZIP.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to PNG?
Yes. Every page is rendered as an image, whether it holds typed text or a scan. For scans, JPG usually looks about the same at a much smaller size.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for Aadhaar, PAN, bank statements and other private documents.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
