Frequently asked questions
Can I add a logo or image as a watermark?
No, only text watermarks are supported. You can type up to 120 characters, such as a company name, a purpose line or a date.
What should I write as a watermark on my Aadhaar or PAN copy?
Write who it is for, why and the date, for example 'For bank KYC only, 12 Mar 2026'. A copy marked like this is much harder to reuse for anything else.
Can I write the watermark in Hindi or add the rupee symbol?
Yes. Hindi (Devanagari) text and the ₹ sign are supported. Other Indian scripts such as Tamil or Bengali are not supported yet.
What placement options are there for the watermark?
Diagonal runs corner to corner and sizes itself to the page, Centre puts one line in the middle, and Repeat tiles the text across the whole page. For Centre and Repeat you can set the text size and angle.
Can I make the watermark light enough that the document stays readable?
Yes. The Visibility slider goes from 5% to 100%, and the default of 25% is easy to read through. You can pick grey, red, blue or black.
Can someone remove my watermark?
It is drawn onto every page, so it cannot simply be switched off, but a person with PDF editing software could still remove it. The Repeat placement covers the whole page and is the hardest to crop or clean away.
Can I watermark only some pages?
No, the same watermark goes on every page. The preview shows how page 1 will look before you download.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server, so it is safe for Aadhaar, PAN, bank statements and other private documents.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
It is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
